(1) If the brake pedal is fully depressed and the ignition key is in the ACC position, the selector lever cannot be moved from position P to any other position unless the button on the selector lever is pressed.
(2) If the brake pedal is fully depressed and the ignition key is in the ACC position, the selector lever cannot be moved from position P to any other position if the button on the selector lever is pressed.
(3) If the brake pedal is released and the ignition key is in position ACC, the selector lever can be moved from position R to position P if the button on the selector lever is pressed.
2. If problems occur during the test, adjust the selector lever lock cable as follows:
(1) Remove the floor console and preinstall the selector lever knob.
(2) Move the selector lever to position P.
(3) Turn the ignition key to the LOCK position (OFF).
(4) Loosen the lock nut of the selector lever lock cable.
(5) Tighten the lock nut until the end of the selector lever lock cable protrudes above the red mark on the cam (pic. 13.34).

Tightening torque: 12 Nm
(6) Install the floor console.
3. After adjustment, check the operation of the selector lever lock mechanism again, if it does not work properly again, replace the selector lever lock cable.
