Warning. If the automatic transmission has been replaced or overhauled, or the transmission fluid is contaminated, flush the heat exchanger and transmission fluid cooling pipes.
1. Disconnect the hose that connects the gearbox and oil heat exchanger (from the side of the radiator) (see fig. 13.10).
2. Start the engine and drain the transmission fluid through the hose.
Warning. One minute after starting, the engine must be stopped. If all the transmission fluid has drained out earlier, turn off the engine at this point.
The volume of the drained liquid: 3.5 liters.
3. Pour new transmission fluid directly into the oil filler tube. Stop adding fluid if the required amount cannot be filled into the gearbox.
The volume of the poured liquid: 3.5 l
4. Repeat the steps in point 2.
Note. Repeating steps 2-4, drain at least 7.0 liters of fluid through the oil heat exchanger hose.
5. Perform the steps from point 3, chapter on changing the fluid in an automatic transmission.
