Checking the accelerator pedal switch

1. Disconnect the accelerator pedal position sender connector (see fig. 6.6).

2. Measure the resistance between tracks 4 and 5 of the accelerator pedal position sensor connector (see fig. 6.6).

Normal condition

Accelerator pedal	Conductivity
pressed	open
Not pressed	Closed

3. If the conductivity of the accelerator pedal switch is not correct, replace the accelerator pedal position sensor assembly.

Note. After replacement, adjust the position of the accelerator pedal sensor.
