1. Check the operation of the low pressure fuel pump by forcibly turning it on using the MUT-II device.
2. If the fuel pump does not work, check it as follows, and if the pump does not work, check its power circuits.
(1) Turn the key in the ignition switch to the OFF position.
(2) Remove the rear seat.
(3) Remove the protective cover.
(4) Disconnect the connector from the fuel pump unit. Connect pin 4 on the side of the relay connector to the battery, and pin 5 of the connector to «weight» (pic. 6.18). Make sure you can hear the noise of the running pump. Since the fuel pump is installed in the fuel tank, in order to improve the audibility of the sound of the pump, unscrew the fuel tank filler cap.

(5) Pinch the fuel supply hose to determine if the fuel pump is building up pressure.
(6) Connect the connector to the fuel pump assembly.
(7) Install the rear seat and protective cover.
