Checking the coolant temperature sensor

1. Drain the coolant, disconnect the connector from the coolant temperature sensor and unscrew it (pic. 8.6).



2. While heating the sensor in a container of water, measure the resistance between pins 2 and 3 of the sensor connector.

Rated resistance, kOhm;

• at 20°C: 2.14-2.36
• at 80°C: 0.27-0.29

3. If the resistance of the sensor does not decrease when heated, replace it.
