- Periodic oil and oil filter changes are the most important preventive maintenance procedure. As engine oil ages, it becomes thin and contaminated, leading to premature engine wear.
- Start the engine and warm it up to a temperature of 80-90°C.
- Remove the engine oil filler cap.
- Loosen the engine oil drain plug about half a turn. Place an oil collecting container under the oil drain plug and unscrew the plug completely. If necessary, press down on the plug when unscrewing to prevent the oil from leaking prematurely. Wait until all the oil has drained from the oil pan into a container.
Warning. Be careful as the drained oil is very hot.
- Screw the engine oil drain plug into the oil pan, while installing a new sealing ring on the plug in the position shown in Figure 3.62.

- Fill the engine with the correct amount of recommended engine oil (pic. 3.63).

Recommended API classification: at least SG
Engine oil volume:
- total: 3.3 l
- oil filter; 0.3 l
Note. Do not exceed the level of engine oil, as this will saturate it with air and reduce pressure in the lubrication system.
- Install the cap on the oil filler neck.
- Start the engine and check for oil leaks.
- Stop the engine, check the engine oil level and top up if necessary.
- Dispose of engine oil in accordance with applicable laws.
