A Air temperature outside the car
In electronic clock
C Average fuel consumption (on vehicles with a MITSUBISHI audio system installed: instantaneous fuel consumption, average fuel consumption, average speed and range of the vehicle)
D Switch «DISP» ("Display", on vehicles with original MITSUBISHI audio system) air outside the car and the current time. When the ignition key is in the ON position, in addition to these indications, the display shows the average fuel consumption.
Vehicles equipped with a MITSUBISHI audio system also display average fuel consumption, average speed, and vehicle range.
Notes
- (1) Indication brightness and unit of measurement (kilometers or miles) can be set as desired.
- (2) If the system is unable to estimate a certain value of speed and fuel consumption, the screen displays "---".
- (3) The meaning of the indications on the display change depending on the road conditions (road conditions, driving style, etc.) The display readings are used as guide values as they may differ from the actual values.
Air temperature outside the car
These figures show the temperature of the air outside the car. If the temperature falls below 3°C. a warning tone sounds and the temperature reading on the display flashes for 5 seconds.
Note
- (1) Outside temperature measurement range from -30°С to +70°С.
- (2) If the ambient temperature is out of range (below -30°С or above +70°С), then the display shows the symbols (-E°C or +E°C)
Digital Watch
Setting the current time is carried out by pressing the buttons according to the following scheme:
- 1. Setting the clock.
- 2. Set minutes.
- 3. Reset minutes to zero
For example
- 10:30-11:29 Reset to 11:00
- 11:30-12:29 Reset to 12:00
Note. When disconnecting the wires from the battery terminals, after connecting the wires, you must set the current time.
Instant fuel consumption
The display shows the current fuel consumption values.
Notes
- (1) When the vehicle is parked with the engine idling, the symbol appears on the display "---".
- (2) Fuel consumption at the moment varies depending on the driving conditions of the car (road conditions, driving style, etc.) These readings are used as guide values as they may differ from the actual values.
On vehicles with a MITSUBISHI audio system installed, pressing the DISP button on the audio system, in addition to instantaneous fuel consumption, the display can also show average fuel consumption, vehicle range and average speed. When the ignition key is in the ON position, the display will show four characteristics in sequence (instantaneous fuel consumption, average fuel consumption, vehicle range, average speed), and then the display screen returns to the standard state it was before the last turn of the ignition key to the OFF position.
Note. If you press the DISP button during the mode change as described above, the mode change process will stop and the display will show the value that was on the display before the last turn of the ignition key to the OFF position.
Display mode selection (only for cars with original Mitsubishi audio system)
On vehicles with a Mitsubishi audio system installed, whenever the DISP button is pressed lightly (less than 2 seconds) the display mode changes in the following sequence:
Instantaneous fuel consumption -> Average fuel consumption -> Vehicle range -> Average vehicle speed.
Average fuel consumption
The display shows the average fuel consumption (L/100 km [litre/100 km] or mpg [mpg]), since the last reset. If you want to start measuring again, then reset the display, and it will show the average fuel consumption from now on.
To reset the display, press and hold the DISP button for at least 2 seconds.
Notes
- (1) When the vehicle is parked with the engine idling, the symbol appears on the display "---"
- (2) Average fuel consumption varies depending on vehicle driving conditions (road conditions, driving style, etc). These readings are used as guide values as they may differ from the actual values.
Vehicle range
The display shows the power reserve, i.e. distance (in km or miles), which can pass the car on the remaining fuel in the tank.
Notes
- When the vehicle's range is shown on the display, if the range is less than 50 km (30 miles), a warning tone sounds and the display flashes. In this case, refuel the vehicle as soon as possible. Even if the display currently shows a value other than the range, when the range is reduced to 50 km, 25 km and 10 km (Either 30, 15 or 6 miles) a warning tone will sound and the power reserve will be displayed for 5 seconds. The display then returns to the current value.
- Range may vary depending on road conditions, driving style and other related factors. Therefore, the display readings can only be used as a reference, and therefore refuel the vehicle as soon as possible.
Average speed
The display shows the vehicle's average speed. This value shows the average speed of the car (in km/h or miles per hour) since the display was last reset. If desired, you can measure the average speed from any intermediate point in time and during the current trip.
To reset the display, press the DISP button for more than 2 seconds.
Display brightness adjustment
1. To turn on the display brightness adjustment function by pressing the button (A), simultaneously press the H button.
H - decrease in brightness; M - increase brightness
2. To adjust the brightness, by pressing the time buttons H or M, move the cursor on the display.
3. To fix the adjusted brightness level, press the SET button (Installation), the display will return to its original state.
Notes
- (1) To exit the brightness adjustment mode before it is completed, press the button (A)
- (2) If during adjustment the SET button (Installation) is not pressed for more than 15 seconds, the current brightness level will be set automatically. The display will then return to its original state.
Selecting the units of measurement shown on the display
Initially, km/h and l/100 were selected as units for speed and fuel consumption for display readings, respectively. To select the unit of measure mile (mile) do the following:
1. To turn on the unit selection mode, hold down the button (A), press the M button to set the time. The display will show the currently selected unit of measure.
H - Kilometers; M - Miles
2. Use the H buttons to change the speed unit (kilometers) or M (miles) time setting, and then press the SET button to fix the setting.
H - Liters / 100 km.; M - Kilometers/Liter
3. If the unit of measure was selected «kilometer», it is necessary to select the unit of measure for fuel consumption by continuously pressing the H or M button. The current unit of measure will appear on the display. Use the H buttons to select the fuel consumption unit (liters / 100 km) or M and then press the SET button to fix and adjust.
4. After finishing the setting, press the SET button and the display will return to its original state.
Notes
- (1) On vehicles without a genuine Mitsubishi audio system, you can change km to miles or vice versa only in the average fuel consumption readings.
- (2) If according to paragraph 2 you chose M (mile), then the fuel consumption will be automatically shown in mpg (miles per gallon)
- (3) To exit the mode for selecting units of measurement before it ends, press the button (A)
- (4) During the procedure for selecting units of measure, the display does not show the temperature of the air outside the vehicle and the time.
- (5) If the SET button is not pressed for more than 15 seconds during the selection of units of measure, the selected units of measure will be set automatically and the display will return to its original state.
