Front wheel hub play check

1. Remove the front disc brake caliper and, without disconnecting the brake hose from the caliper, tie it to the front suspension with soft wire, while not stretching or twisting the brake hose.

2. Remove the brake disc from the hub.

3. Fasten the measuring stand with arrow-type indicators as shown in Figure 14.5 and, moving the hub back and forth, measure its axial play.



Maximum permissible axial play of the front wheel hub: 0.05 mm

4. If the axial play exceeds the maximum allowable value, remove and check the elements of the front suspension.
