1. While driving, make several smooth and then sharp turns of the steering wheel to the right and left in order to check the absence of a difference in efforts on the steering wheel when turning left and right, as well as the presence of a returning moment.
2. When the steering wheel is turned 90°and held in this position for a few seconds while the vehicle is moving at 35 km/h, the steering wheel should return 70°to the neutral position when released (pic. 16.6).

Note. If the steering wheel turns very quickly, at the first moment the force required to turn may be increased. This is normal, especially when the engine is idling, as the performance of the pump is somewhat reduced.
