2. Increase the engine speed to 1000±100 min-1
Warning. After checking, leave the engine running at idle speed
3. Hook the dynamometer on the steering wheel spoke at the point furthest from the center of the wheel (pic. 16.5). With the front wheels set to drive in a straight line, measure the force required on the steering wheel to turn the wheels left and right 1.5 turns. Also check the resistance to deflection of the tie rod end ball joint.
