Checking the brake light switch

Connect an ohmmeter to the brake light switch connector pins and check the brake light switch circuit with the stem depressed and not depressed (pic. 15.8). If the stem is drowned so that its protrusion is 4 mm from the end of the housing, then with a working switch, the circuit must be open, with the pusher released, the circuit must be closed.
