The nominal distance from the clutch pedal to the floor is 163.5–166.5 mm.
The nominal backlash is 1–3 mm.
Pic. 10.1. Adjusting the distance from the clutch pedal to the floor and play in the clutch pedal pin connection: 1 - adjusting nut (13 Nm); 2 - adjusting bolt; 3 - locknut (13 Nm)
2. If the distance of the clutch pedal to the floor is outside the range of nominal values, then loosen the lock nut and adjust this distance with the adjusting bolt or by changing the length of the master cylinder pusher (pic. 10.1).
3. If the clutch pedal play is out of specification, loosen the locknut and adjust this distance by changing the length of the master cylinder pusher.
Attention! During adjustment, do not push the push rod into the clutch master cylinder.
Attention! 4. If on vehicles with 1800 cc engines3 the distance from the clutch pedal to the floor is outside the range of nominal values, then loosen the lock nut and adjust the height of the pedal by adjusting the position of the clutch release sensor accordingly or changing the length of the pusher of the clutch master cylinder.
5. After completing the adjustments, check that (full) clutch pedal free travel (measured by pedal pad) and the distance between the clutch pedal pad and the floor with the clutch disengaged lie in the range of nominal values:
- backlash - 613 mm;
- the distance between the clutch pedal pad and the floor with the clutch disengaged is more than 85 mm.
6. If the free play of the clutch pedal (measured by pedal pad) and the distance between the clutch pedal pad and the floor when the clutch is disengaged is outside the nominal range, this may be caused by air entering the clutch hydraulic actuator, a malfunction in the clutch master cylinder, or in the clutch itself. Bleed the hydraulic drive, disassemble and check the master cylinder or clutch.
