2. Release the adapter lock.
3. Slightly pull the speedometer cable into the vehicle interior and remove the rear of the adapter from the cable.

4. After turning the adapter so that its slot coincides with the latch on the side of the speedometer cable, remove the adapter by moving it back (pic. 12.12).
5. Turn away a nut and disconnect a cable of a speedometer from a transmission.
6. Tie a cord to the end of the speedometer cable inside the vehicle. Then, having removed the seal from the side of the engine compartment of the car, pull the cable into the car interior.
7. Install a new speedometer cable and attach it to the adapter.

8. Install the connector (from the gearbox side) speedometer drive cable into the cable hole in the gearbox housing and securely tighten the cable fastening nut (pic. 12.13).
Attention! If the cable is incorrectly installed and not securely fastened in the seat, this may cause incorrect speedometer readings and noise during speedometer drive operation.
