3. Holding the fuel filter with a wrench, unscrew the bypass bolt, then remove the high pressure hose (pic. 7.29).
Attention! Since there may be residual pressure in the fuel line, cover the hose with a rag to prevent fuel splashing.
Pic. 7.30. Elements for fastening fuel lines to the fuel filter: 1 - high pressure hose; 2 - bypass bolt; 3 - sealing gasket; 4 - places of holding with a wrench; 5 – union nut of the main fuel line (37 Nm); 6 - main fuel line
4. Holding the filter with a wrench, unscrew the union nut of the main fuel line, then disconnect the main fuel line (pic. 7.30).
5. Remove the fuel filter.
6. When installing the fuel filter, use new gaskets. Tighten the bypass bolt of the high pressure hose coupling and the union nut of the main fuel line to the specified torques.
7. After installing the fuel filter, check the tightness of the fuel system (there are no fuel leaks at the connections).
8. Apply battery voltage to the fuel pump service connector until it works.
9. Check the tightness of the pressurized fuel system.
