Checking the air temperature sensor in the intake manifold

1. Disconnect the connector from the air flow meter sensor (pic. 7.10).

2. Measure resistance between pins «5» And «6» connector.

Rated resistance value:

• at a temperature of 20°C - 2.3–3.0 kOhm;
• at a temperature of 80°C - 0.30–0.42 kOhm.

3. Measure the resistance by heating the probe with a hair dryer (pic. 7.11). As the sensor heats up, its resistance should decrease.

4. If the resistance is out of specification or does not change with temperature, replace the air flow meter sensor.
