Cleaning the throttle body

1. Start the engine, warm it up to a coolant temperature of 80°C or higher, and then turn it off.

2. Disconnect the inlet hose from the throttle body.



3. Close the inlets of the bypass channel in the body of the throttle assembly (pic. 7.3).

Attention! Do not allow cleaning solvent to enter the bypass channel.

4. Spray cleaning solvent inside the throttle body through the inlet and wait about 5 minutes.

5. Start up the engine and several times within 1 min. press an accelerator pedal and completely release it. If engine idling becomes unstable (or if he is dumb) due to a closed bypass channel, to maintain stable engine idling, slightly open the throttle (lightly press the accelerator pedal).

6. If deposits in the throttle body are not removed, then repeat the cleaning.

7. Open the bypass inlets.

8. Connect the inlet hose.

9. Use the MUT-II to clear fault codes from memory.

10. Adjust the base idle speed of the engine.

Attention! If, after adjusting the basic speed of the engine idling speed, the speed «floats», then disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal for 10 seconds or more. Then connect the wire to the negative battery terminal, start the engine and let it idle for 10 minutes.
