Engine Malfunction Indicator Lamp («CHECK ENGINE») lights up in the event of a malfunction of the following elements of the fuel injection system:
- electronic engine control unit;
- oxygen concentration sensor;
- air flow meter sensor;
- air temperature sensor in the intake manifold;
- throttle position sensor;
- coolant temperature sensor;
- crankshaft position sensor;
- camshaft position sensor (DOHC);
- atmospheric sensor (barometric) pressure;
- knock sensor;
- base ignition timing adjustment mode signal;
- nozzles;
- ignition coils, power transistor (DOHC);
- immobilizer systems;
- solenoid vacuum valve (TCL system);
- electromagnetic atmospheric valve (TCL system).
Attention! Engine Malfunction Indicator Lamp («CHECK ENGINE») will light up even if it is shorted to «mass» ignition timing adjustment output. The ignition of the engine malfunction indicator lamp during the installation of the basic ignition timing is not a sign of a malfunction.
