Relieving pressure in the power system

When removing fuel pipes, hoses, etc. it must be borne in mind that the fuel pressure in the line is usually quite high. Therefore, in order to avoid fuel splashing during disassembly, the following rules must be observed.

1. Remove the rear seat cushion.

2. Remove the protective cover.

3. Disconnect the fuel pump assembly connector.

4. Connect the MUT-II device to a diagnostic socket.

Attention! Switch off the ignition before connecting or disconnecting the MUT-II.

5. Turn the ignition key to position «ON» («ON»).

6. Select the appropriate item in the menu «Data list» (data table) instrument MUT-II.

7. Turn the crankshaft of the engine with a starter for 2 s.

8. If the engine does not start, then using the MUT-II device, make sure that the fuel pressure is not more than 0.5 MPa. Then turn the ignition key to position «OFF» («OFF»).

9. If the engine starts, relieve the fuel pressure in the line as follows:

• turn the ignition key to position «OFF» («OFF») and stop the engine;
• disconnect one of the ignition coil connectors;
• crank the engine crankshaft with the starter for 2 s.

10. If the engine does not start, then using the MUT-II device, make sure that the fuel pressure is not more than 0.5 MPa. Then turn the ignition key to position «OFF» («OFF»).

11. If the engine starts, then stop it by increasing the speed and at the same time make sure using the MUT-II device that the fuel pressure in the system does not exceed 0.5 MPa. Turn the ignition key to position «OFF» («OFF»).


12. Connect the ignition coil connector.

Attention! Remove soot deposits from the spark plug that has been disconnected from the ignition coil.

13. Disconnect the MUT-II.

14. Connect the fuel pump assembly connector.

15. Establish a protective cover and a pillow of a back seat.
