3. On vehicles with air conditioning, install the ratchet wrench on the alternator adjustment bar (pic. 4.16).
4. Loosen the alternator adjusting bar bolts with this wrench.
Attention! The belt used to remove the pulley will be damaged. Do not use the original engine accessory drive belt (use a different belt). Never install a damaged belt on an engine.
5. Slowly loosen the accessory drive belt and then remove it.
6. Holding the pulley from turning with a special tool, unscrew the bolts and remove the crankshaft pulley.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following.
1. When installing the crankshaft pulley bolt, apply some 3M stud locking 4170 to the bolt threads.
2. On vehicles with air conditioning, fit the drive belt over the appropriate pulleys.
3. Install the ratchet wrench on the alternator adjustment bar and, while tightening the belt, make sure that the belt is correctly positioned in the pulley grooves.
4. Installing the bolt (or bolts) fastening the crankshaft pulley, apply a small amount of 3M stud locking 4170 to the bolt threads.
5. On vehicles with air conditioning, tighten the two bolts.
6. Adjust the tension of the drive belts.
7. Install the lower right protective cover.
