Pic. 4.10. Connecting the Hand Vacuum Pump to the Engine Idle Speed Boost Connector
2. Connect a hand vacuum pump to the idle boost connector (pic. 4.10).
3. Connect the MUT-II to the diagnostic socket.
4. Start the engine and let it idle.
5. Check up frequency of rotation of idling and if necessary adjust it.
6. Stop the engine.
Pic. 4.11. Adjusting the clearance between the pump control cable clamp and the high idle lever: 1 – pump control cable clamp; 2 – the lever of the raised turns of idling
7. Adjust the clearance between the pump control cable clamp and the high idle engine speed lever to (2±1) mm (pic. 4.11).
8. Start the engine and check the vacuum RPM (not less than 27 kPa) to the drive system for increasing the engine idle speed by a manual vacuum pump, which must be (900±50) min-1.
Attention! The valve for increasing the engine speed at idle when the engine is warming up is regulated only on a special stand for checking and adjusting high-pressure fuel pumps.
