Attention! Thoroughly remove moisture from the surface of all tested parts.
Attention! When removing the radiator cap tester, be careful not to splash coolant.
Attention! When connecting and disconnecting the tester, as well as during the test, be careful not to deform the radiator filler neck.
Attention! If there are coolant leaks, repair or replace the related parts.
Pic. 6.1. Checking the opening pressure of the radiator cap: 1 - radiator cap adapter
1. Use a special adapter to connect the radiator cap to the tester (pic. 6.1).
2. Increase the pressure until the pressure gauge needle stops.
- The maximum allowable pressure is 65 kPa.
- Nominal pressure - 75–105 kPa.
3. Replace the radiator cap if the pressure shown on the pressure gauge is below the maximum allowable.
Attention! Make sure the radiator cap is clean before checking, as rust or other foreign matter on the cap seal may cause the pressure gauge to read incorrectly.
