To turn on the heater, press the switch 11 (see fig. 1.13). To turn off the heater, press the switch again. Because the car has a timer for the rear window defroster, the defroster will automatically turn off after 20 minutes. To turn it off earlier, press the switch again.
The indicator lamp in the switch will be on while the heater is on. If the vehicle is equipped with heated outside rear view mirrors, pressing the rear window defroster switch will also remove the fogging from the outside side rear view mirrors.
Attention! 1. The power of the rear window heater is only enough to remove frost (fogging), but not enough to melt the snow adhering to the glass. Before turning on the heater, remove the snow from the rear window.
Attention! 2. To avoid discharging the battery, do not use the rear window defroster while starting the engine or when the engine is off. Turn off the heater as soon as you clean the glass.
Attention! 3. Wipe the inside of the rear window with a soft cloth, being especially careful along the heater wires to avoid damaging them.
Attention! 4. Do not place objects near the rear window that could accidentally touch the windshield heater wires and damage them.
