This is especially useful when driving on the expressway. Cruise control does not work at speeds below 40 km/h.
Note that the set speed may not be maintained when going up or down.
When driving on a steep hill, the vehicle speed may drop below the set speed, so depress the accelerator pedal to maintain the set speed.
When driving on a steep descent, the vehicle speed may exceed the set speed. If the vehicle speed is too high, turn off the cruise control.
Turning on cruise control
1. Press the main switch A (pic. 1.42) at the end of the control lever.

2. If the main cruise control switch is turned on, the indicator lamp in the instrument cluster will illuminate «CRUISE» 17 (see fig. 1.16).
3. While moving at the desired speed, push down the lever IN (see fig. 1.42) cruise control controls.
Set speed increase
There are two ways to increase the set speed.
For a small increase in speed, it is enough to pull the lever up and hold it for less than 1 second, and then release it. Each time the cruise control lever is raised, the vehicle speed will increase by approximately 1.6 km/h.
Set speed reduction
There are two ways to decrease the set speed.
To slightly decrease the set speed, it is enough to press the lever down and hold it for less than 1 s, and then release it. Each press will decrease the vehicle speed by approximately 1.6 km/h.
Acceleration for overtaking
Depress the accelerator pedal as you would during normal driving. After releasing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle will return to the set speed.
Turn off cruise control
Cruise control (vehicle speed control system) can be turned off by one of the methods listed below.
1. Press cruise control master switch A (see fig. 1.42) at the end of the cruise control lever (cruise control master switch off).
2. Pull the cruise control lever B towards you.
3. Lightly depressing the brake pedal or depressing it harder to slow down the vehicle.
4. Pressing the clutch pedal (on vehicles with manual transmission).
5. When moving the automatic transmission selector lever to the neutral position «N» (on vehicles with automatic transmission).
6. When the vehicle speed decreases by 15 km/h or more from the set speed, such as when driving on a steep hill, etc.
7. When the vehicle speed drops to 40 km/h or less.
Resuming movement at a given speed
If the vehicle is moving at a speed of 40 km/h or more and the cruise control has been deactivated using the cruise control lever or one of the above methods, then the previously set speed can be automatically restored by pushing the cruise control lever up. control.
Under any of the following conditions, actuating the cruise control lever will not restore the previously set speed.
1. The ignition has been turned off.
2. The main cruise control switch has been turned off.
In these cases, repeat the set speed setting process again.
