The unique design of the keys makes them very difficult to copy, minimizing the risk of car theft. In addition, car locks are designed to prevent the doors from being unlocked by means other than your own key.
Be careful when handling the keys, do not lose or leave them in a locked car.
So that unauthorized persons cannot find out your key number, the number is stamped not on the key itself, but on a removable plastic key fob. Keep your key fob in a safe place separate from your keys.
Note. Duplicate keys can only be made by an authorized Mitsubishi dealer. If you lose your keys, tell the dealer the key number.
Since the car is equipped with an electronic immobilizer, the engine is designed in such a way that it will not start if the identification code registered in the immobilizer electronic control unit does not match the identification code of the key.
Never leave keys near magnetic or metal objects, as this may adversely affect transponder performance.
