Pic. 19.7. Checking the resistance of the fuel level sensor: 1 - contact of the fuel level sensor in the tank; 2 - contact «masses»
2. Check if the resistance between the fuel level sensor contact and the contact «masses» nominal value (pic. 19.7), when the sensor float is at its highest point (F) and lowest point (E).
Rated resistance, Ohm:
- point F - 7.9–14.6;
- point E - 107.9–118.9.
3. Check that the resistance changes smoothly when the float slowly moves between the highest point F and the lowest point E.
Pic. 19.8. Checking the smoothness of the change in resistance when the float moves slowly between the highest point F and the lowest point E: 1 - point F (full tank); 2 - point E (empty tank)
4. Move the float to measure height B (pic. 19.8) at point E (inferior) and height A at point F (higher).
Rated value, mm:
- A = 142.4;
- B = 28.
