Gearbox shank oil seal (or transfer case drive shaft)

1. Disconnect the battery from the ground.

2. Raise the car.

3. Drain the oil from the manual transmission (or automatic transmission fluid).

4. Designate position of a flange of a cardan shaft and disconnect a shaft from a check point.

5. Remove the cover, pry and remove the gland.

6. Assembly is carried out in the reverse order.

7. Press in a new oil seal with a mandrel until the oil seal plane is aligned with the gearbox housing (transfer box).
