Details of the clutch and release mechanism (cable drive)

Clutch cable

Cable
1. From the side of the engine compartment, feed the cable and unscrew the shell nut, loosening the cable.
2. Disconnect the cable from the pedal and pull it into the engine compartment.
3. Raise the car.
4. Unpin the cable from the gearbox and pull it out through the hole in the crankcase lug.
5. Get a cable, having extended it through the plug in an arm.
6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
Fork and release bearing
1. Remove the gearbox.
2. Install the spring clips with the slots facing the fork lugs.
3. On the removed gearbox, remove the spring clips and remove the release bearing.
4. Knock out the spring retainers for fastening the fork with a beard, the diameter of which exactly matches the diameter of the brackets.
5. Remove the yoke shaft, seals, both springs and yoke, noting the installation order of these parts.
6. If necessary, remove the counterweight.
7. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
8. Replace the fork springs.
8. Lubricate the fork shaft 25–37 mm from the ends on both sides.
9. Lubricate the release bearing in the places indicated by hatching.
10. Lubricate also the rubbing surfaces of the fork lugs.
