Adjustment of inclusion of a kick-down-mode
Kick-down adjustment screw (M904A)
The adjusting screw is located on the left side of the transmission case.
1. To cooler
2. Adjusting screw
1. Loosen locknut 5 turns.
2. Check that the screw rotates without binding.
3. Tighten the screw with a torque of 7.8 Nm.
4. Loosen the screw 3.5 turns, and while holding it, tighten the lock nut to a torque of 40–55 Nm.
Adjustment of a tape of inclusion of a backing and the bottom transfer (low-reverse)
Reverse and low gear adjustment screw
1. Screw; 2. Locknut
1. Raise the car.
2. Loosen locknut 5 turns.
3. Check that the screw rotates without binding.
4. Using the MD998358 wrench, tighten the screw with a torque of 4.9 Nm.
5. Loosen the screw 7 turns, and while holding it, tighten the locknut to 34–47 Nm.
6. Install the pallet and tighten the bolts with a torque of 15–20 Nm.
7. Fill with liquid.

Kick-down linkage adjustment (M904A)
1. Pull C; 2. Bolt; 3. Pull B; 4. Throttle control lever; 5. Pull A
Checking the rotation of the throttle control rod (after adjusting the rest of the rods)
1. Full throttle position; 2. Idle position; 3. Lever
1. Loosen the bolts so that the rods B and C move freely.
2. Warm up the engine to 80°C and make sure fast idle is completely off (carburetor choke lever cam must not come into contact with throttle lever cam).
3. Apply thrust A (or throttle control lever) to the idle speed limiter and set the rods to the position corresponding to idling.
4. Tighten the bolt connecting rods B and C.
5. Make sure that when the throttle is opened, the lever on the transmission rotates 47.5-54°, and also that when the throttle rod is slowly returned from the fully open position of the damper, the lever on the transmission returns to the position corresponding to idling under the action of springs.

Kick-down adjustment (KM148)
1. Fully open damper; 2. Idling; 3. Bracket
1. Check idle speed (after adjusting the idle speed, adjust the throttle cable).
2. Check the distance between the cable stopper and the cap, which should be 52–53 mm with the damper fully open.
3. If necessary, set the distance by moving the cable bracket with the bolts released.

Kick-down Cable Gap Adjustment (vehicles with 3.5 l and 3.0 l engines 1990-94)
1. Nuts; 2. Case; 3. Rope stop
Kick-down Cable Gap Adjustment (a / m with a 3.0 l engine 1995)
1. Nuts; 2. Cable limiter; 3. Case
Engine 3.5L and 3.0L (1990-94)
1. Depress the throttle pedal and check the distance between the cable stop and the dust cover, which should be 0-1mm.
2. If necessary, set the distance by turning the adjusting nuts of the cable sheath.
Engine 3.0L (1995)
3. Remove the cable cover and check the distance between the cable stop and the sheath, which should be 34–35 mm with the damper fully open.
4. If necessary, set the distance by turning the adjusting nuts of the cable sheath.
