Cars 1983-86
1. Move the selector to the N position, tighten the mounting screws and check for a circuit between the BY–BY switch terminals (1 - initial position, 2 - contact closure sector, 3 - pin, 4 - to the front of the car).
2. Move the switch to both sides and set to the position where the ohmmeter will show the circuit.
3. Move the switch so that there is a gap of 1.5 mm between it and the selector, tighten the screws.
Cars 1987-89
1. Loosen the fastening screws and install the selector so that the position of the pin (2) at the end of the thrust corresponded to neutral (1).
2. Check for continuity between the 2-BY and 2-BY switch connector pins by moving the switch.
3. Mark the position of the bracket.
4. Set a gap of 2.5 mm between the switch and the lever guard and tighten the screws.
Cars 1990-98
Switch Position Adjustment
1. Move the selector to position N, tighten the screws.
2. Loosen the cable end locknut on the left side of the transmission case.
3. Release a bolt of fastening of the switch.
4. Turn the switch to align the tabs (2) on lever switch (1), fixing the neutral position (3 – neutral position fixing lever V4AW2).
5. Tighten the bolt with a torque of 6 Nm.
6. Feed the cable in the direction of the arrow and tighten the nut to 24 Nm. (1 - adjusting nut; 2 - cable).
7. Make sure the selector is in position N.
8. Move the selector to all positions and check its fixation.
