Removing water from the fuel filter

When the control lamp in the instrument cluster comes on, indicating the presence of water in the fuel, drain it from the filter with the following sequence:

• unscrew the drain screw under the fuel filter;
• for a short period of time, operate the lever of the manual fuel priming pump, then tighten the drain screw by hand.
