Removing the lower toothed belt guard

1. Remove the upper toothed belt guard (four bolts).

2. Loosen the power steering pump drive V-belt and remove the V-belt.

3. Loosen the alternator drive V-belt and remove the V-belt.

4. After loosening the bolts, remove the viscous fan impeller together with the belt pulley.

5. Shift into gear, apply the handbrake and unscrew and remove the crankshaft belt pulley.

6. Turn away bolts of fastening of the bottom protective casing of a gear belt and remove a casing.

7. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. The bolts for fastening the casing and the fan clutch are tightened with a tightening torque of 10–12 Nm. Tighten the large bolt of the belt pulley with a torque of 170–190 Nm. Install and tension the power steering pump and alternator V-belts.
