The starter must not rotate the engine for more than 15 seconds.
To avoid draining the battery, wait a few seconds before trying to start the engine again.
Attention! Do not let the car engine run for a long time in a closed or poorly ventilated area. Carbon dioxide is odorless and can cause suffocation.
Engine starting
1. Insert the key into the ignition lock and fasten the seat belt.
2. On manual transmission models, shift to neutral, and on automatic transmission models, shift to park.
3. Depress the brake pedal (on models with manual transmission). On manual transmission models, the starter will not engage unless the clutch pedal is depressed.
4. After turning the key in the ignition switch to the ON position, check that all signal lamps work before starting the engine.
5. Turn the ignition key to the START position and release it when the engine starts.
You may hear clicks when starting the engine. This is normal, keep warming up the engine and the clicking will stop.
If the engine has received too much fuel and it does not start, rotate the engine with the starter for 5-6 seconds, keeping the accelerator pedal depressed. Then start the engine without depressing the starter pedal at all.
Starting the engine in cold weather
If the engine does not start, depress the accelerator pedal halfway while turning the engine with the starter.
After the engine starts, release the accelerator pedal.
