The evaporator is closed by a casing, to remove which it is necessary to press the latches with a tool resting against a soft lining and unscrew the screws that tighten both halves of the casing.
Replace all O-rings on refrigerant fittings.
Cars 1983-91
1. Depressurize the refrigerant line in a car service.
2. Disconnect the battery from the ground.
3. Turn away the union of tubes on a partition of a motor compartment, turn away a nut directly over hoses.
4. Remove a box for trifles, the channel of an obduv of a windshield and disconnect a socket.
5. Disconnect the transition section between the evaporator and heater shells.
6. Remove the drain hose.
7. Turn away bolts and remove the evaporator.
8. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
Cars 1992-98
1. Depressurize the refrigerant line in a car service.
2. Disconnect the battery from the ground.
3. Turn away the union of tubes on a partition of a motor compartment.
4. Disconnect the drain hose.
5. Remove the storage box and speaker grille.
6. Turn away bolts and remove a strengthening level under the forward panel.
7. Remove the right leg warmer duct and disconnect the connector from the air conditioning control panel.
8. Turn away bolts and remove the evaporator.
9. If necessary, remove the casing, control unit, air temperature sensor, expansion valve and pipes from the evaporator.
Attention! Before installing a new evaporator, fill it with special oil at a car service. If R12 refrigerant is used, then 60 cc is poured. Nippondenso Oil 6 oils, if R134A refrigerant is used, then 40 cc Nippondenso Oil 8 is poured.
10. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
