Details of fastening of the stabilizer bar (1994-95)
Withdrawal order:; 1. Dirt deflector; 2. Rack; 3. Collar; 4. Sleeve; 5. Stabilizer bar
Cars 1983-91
1. Raise the front of the car, remove the wheels and the mud deflector.
2. Turn away nuts of fastening of a rack of the stabilizer to a crossbar and to the bottom levers.
Pay attention to the location of the bushings, washers and gaskets.
3. Remove the stabilizer, check its condition.
4. If cracks or deformations are found, replace. It is also recommended to replace all rubber bushings.
5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
6. Tighten the strut nut.
7. Replace the upper stabilizer strut mounting nut and tighten it 6–8 mm from the threaded end of the strut.
8. Replace the lower arm nuts, tighten the nuts so that the threaded part protrudes 6-8 mm (1982-91).
9. On cars 1992-98. tighten the nut so that the threaded part of the bolt protrudes 6–8 mm for a bolt length of 55 mm, or 8–9 mm for a bolt length of 60 mm.
Cars 1992-98
1. Raise the front of the car, remove the wheels and the mud deflector.
2. Turn away nuts of fastening of a rack of the stabilizer to a bar and to the bottom levers.
Pay attention to the location of the bushings, washers and gaskets.
3. Remove collars and a bar, remove from a bar of the plug.
4. Check for cracks and deformations.
5. It is recommended that all rubber bushings be replaced regardless of their condition.
6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
7. Tighten bolts and nuts.
