Front brake caliper (Inserts indicate where to lubricate before assembly)

For lubrication, the composition from the repair kit is used.
This procedure also applies to the 2-cylinder caliper on 1992-98 vehicles.
Removal and installation
1. Raise the front of the car and remove the wheel.
2. Remove some of the liquid from the tank.
3. Disconnect and plug the hose.
4. Turn away bolts of fastening (fingers) caliper.
5. Remove the caliper pins and store them in a clean container.
6. Remove a support.
7. Remove the outer block.
8. Remove the pad plate.
9. Remove the inner pad.
10. Remove the top and bottom brackets.
11. Installation is carried out in the reverse order, taking into account the following.
12. Push the piston into the cylinder.
13. Tighten the connections with the following torques: caliper bolts - 32–42 Nm. (lower) and 40–50 Nm. (upper), hose fitting - 17 Nm.
14. Remove air from the hydraulic actuator.
Disassembly
1. Remove the piston boot circlip.
2. Remove the cover.
3. Carefully remove the pistons with compressed air.
4. Carefully remove the cuff from the cylinder.
5. Check up a condition of pistons.
6. Check up a condition of an internal surface of the cylinder.
7. If corrosion or visible damage is found, replace the parts. The caliper repair kit includes seals and a piston (also available separately), as well as grease for the caliper pins.
8. Assembly is carried out in the reverse order.
9. Replace all seals.
10. Remove the piston boot.
11. Remove the piston seal.
12. Lubricate the caliper pins with the repair kit. Lubricate the piston with brake fluid.
