Rear brake pressure regulator (1992-98)

The regulator increases the stability of a loaded vehicle during heavy braking and is mounted at the rear of the frame. The operation of the valve is determined by the tension of the spring, which presses on the lever with a certain force. On an unloaded vehicle, installed on a level surface, the length of the spring, measured horizontally, should be 224–228 mm.

Removal and installation

1. Disconnect the spring.

2. Label and disconnect tubing.

3. Turn away bolts and remove a regulator.

4. When installing, tighten the pipe fittings with a torque of 17 Nm, adjust the spring and bleed the brakes.

Adjustment

To adjust, release the bolt and move the bracket.
