Drum and handbrake pads (1992-95) (on the inserts - lubrication points with sealant 3M ATD 8513 (above) and grease SAE J310 NLGI N1)

Removal and installation
1. Raise the rear of the car and remove the wheel.
2. Remove the caliper, move aside and secure.
3. Remove the brake disc, marking its position on the axle shaft.
4. Check disc and pad.
5. Measure the thickness of the friction material, which should be at least 4.5 mm (new pad 6.5 mm), replace the worn pad.
6. Check the inner diameter of the disk drum which should be no more than 198 mm, otherwise replace the disk.
7. Disconnect the regulator spring at the bottom of the shoes.
8. Rotate cup, remove retainer spring and pin.
9. Remove the shoe adjuster.
10. Remove the spring retainers at the top of the brake.
11. Remove spacer and spring.
12. Remove the bracket, disconnect the cable and remove the pads.
13. Installation is carried out in the reverse order, taking into account the following.
14. Lubricate all required areas.
15. Correctly arrange the springs of the shoes, - the spring of the right (rear) handbrake pads have a distinctive color.
16. Install the left wheel chock adjuster so that the adjuster stud points towards the rear of the vehicle, while the right wheel chock adjuster stud faces forward.
17. Tighten the caliper mounting bolts with a torque of 88 Nm. Adjust handbrake (see subsection 11.15).
