Catalytic converter
The three-way catalytic converter works in conjunction with an oxygen sensor feedback air/fuel ratio control system. The catalytic converter oxidizes carbon monoxide (SO) and hydrocarbons (CH) and reduces nitrogen oxide emissions (NOx). When the stoichiometric air-fuel ratio is maintained, the three-way catalyst provides the highest purification efficiency for three groups of substances, namely: CO, CH and NOx.
Removal and installation
Removal of parts is carried out in the order of the numbers indicated in the figure.
When removing parts, pay attention to the procedure for removing the oxygen sensor.
Use the special wrench to remove and install the oxygen sensor (MD998770).
Installation of details is made in an order, the return to removal.
