Loading roof rack and wicking roof molding
When installing the roof rack, use the brackets A. The brackets A are under the roof bleed molding B.
Attention! Do not place luggage directly on the roof of the car. Use a suitably sized roof rack. To properly install the rack, use the instructions that came with the purchased rack.
Loading tips for the roof rack
Make sure that the weight of the baggage does not exceed the amount allowed by the management. Overloading luggage with excess weight may cause damage to the vehicle. The permitted maximum load weight on the roof rack depends on the maximum permitted roof load (the weight of the trunk itself plus the weight of the available luggage).
When driving with luggage on the roof rack, drive slowly and avoid sudden maneuvers such as hard braking or sharp turns. Try to load luggage in such a way that the heaviest part of it is located closer to the rear edge of the trunk.
Do not carry items on the roof rack that are wider than the roof rack itself.
The additional load on the roof caused by luggage, as well as its incorrect location, leads to a shift in the center of gravity of the car and changes in some of the characteristics of the car. Therefore, failure to follow the recommendations given here may result in loss of vehicle control and an accident.
Before starting the journey, and also after a short period of time after the start of the trip, check and make sure that the luggage is securely fastened.
During your trip, periodically check that luggage remains securely attached to the trunk.
Loosely secured luggage can fall out and damage your vehicle, other vehicles, or create a dangerous road situation.
Note. To reduce fuel consumption and reduce wind noise, remove the roof rack when not carrying luggage.
Remove the roof rack if you are going to wash your car in an automatic car wash.
Before installing the top rack, make sure the top hatch and tailgate are securely closed (for vehicles equipped with sunroof and fifth door).
