«R» – Parking
In this position, the transmission is locked to prevent the vehicle from moving when parked. In this position, you can start the car engine.
«R» - Reverse
Move the selector lever to position «R» only after the vehicle has come to a complete stop.
Attention! While the vehicle is moving, do not move the selector lever to the position «R» or «R». If, while the vehicle is moving, the selector lever is in the «R» or «R», it may damage the transmission.
«N» – Neutral position
In this selector position, the automatic transmission is disabled, the position «N» similar to the neutral position of a manual shift lever, it should be used during long stops on a trip, such as when stuck in a traffic jam.
Warning! While the vehicle is moving, do not move the selector lever to the position «N». In this case, the risk of an accident increases due to unintentional shifting of the selector lever to the position «R» or «R», and also there is no possibility to carry out engine braking.
When stopped on a slope, the engine should be started with the selector lever in the «R» («Parking»), but not «N» («neutral position»).
To minimize the risk of losing control of the vehicle, always keep your right foot on the brake pedal when the selector lever is in the «N» («Neutral») or when switched to this position.
«D» – «Movement»
This position of the automatic transmission selector lever is the main one when driving in the city, on the motorway, from starting off to reaching maximum speed. If necessary, depending on the driving mode, engine braking is automatically activated.
Manual shift mode («Sports Mode», «sports» mode)
Regardless of whether the vehicle is in motion or stationary, the transition to manual mode of gear shifting is made by moving the selector of the automatic transmission from the position «D» («Movement», main gear) into the slot for manual gear selection. to return to mode «D» («Movement»), it is necessary to move the selector back to the main slot B.
In manual gearshift mode, quick shifting is possible by moving the selector back or forward. Unlike a manual transmission, manual mode («Sports Mode») allows you to shift gears while pressing the accelerator pedal.
«+» (UP): move the selector forward once, this will shift into overdrive.
«–» (DOWN): move the selector back once, the gear will be downshifted.
Attention! In manual mode, there is no automatic upshifting. The driver must himself engage the overdrive in accordance with the road conditions and at the same time ensure that the engine speed does not exceed the maximum permissible value (the tachometer needle must be below the red zone).
Fast double shift of the selector back (DOWN) allows you to skip one gear when shifting, that is, go from 3rd gear to 1st, or from 4th to 2nd. Since heavy engine braking and/or rapid acceleration can cause loss of wheel traction, downshifting should be done carefully according to vehicle speed.
Note. In manual shift mode, only one of the five forward gears can be selected. To move the car in reverse or to park, move the selector to the position «R» («Reverse») or «R» («Parking»), respectively.
To ensure the required vehicle dynamics and safety, the system may not perform some upshifts when the selector is moved to the «+» (up), for example, the inclusion of overdrive when the car is moving at low speed. Also, in order to ensure that the engine speed does not exceed the maximum allowable value, the system may not perform some gear shifts when the selector is moved to the position «–» (down) at some speeds.
In manual shift mode, when the vehicle speed decreases, downshifting occurs automatically. When the car comes to a stop, 1st gear is automatically engaged.
When starting off on a slippery road, move the automatic transmission selector forward to «+» (up), at the same time, 2nd gear is engaged, which makes it easier to start off on slippery roads. Move selector to position «–» (down) shifts to 1st gear.
Smoothly, without undue force, move the selector between the slots (main and manual switching mode), as well as between the positions in the slot of the manual gearshift mode. Significant force applied to the selector lever may cause it to break.
Control lamps of a mode of manual gear shifting («Sports Mode», «sports» mode)
In manual gearshift mode, the indicator on the instrument panel lights up corresponding to the selected gear.
Note. When the manual shift mode is engaged, the mode indicator lamp «D» («movement») goes out.
