The gearshift pattern is shown on the gear lever knob. Always fully depress the clutch pedal before moving the lever to another position.
Attention! Do not engage reverse when the vehicle is moving forward. This may damage the transmission.
Attention! Do not leave your foot on the clutch pedal while the vehicle is in motion, as this may cause premature wear or damage to the clutch.
Note. If it is difficult to engage first gear, depress the clutch pedal again. This will make it easier to shift the gear lever.
To move the lever from 5th gear to reverse («R»), first move the lever to the neutral position «N», and then to position «R» («reverse»).
Gear shift
When shifting gears, always proceed carefully, matching the vehicle speed to the engine speed. Proper gear shifting reduces fuel consumption and extends engine life. Avoid downshifting at high speed as this may cause the engine to overrev (tachometer needle in the red zone) and engine damage.
Economical travel speeds
For economical driving, it is recommended to change gears at the following speeds. The driver can vary the speed values, taking into account the driving mode and vehicle load.
Permissible travel speeds
5th gear is an overdrive, and when it is engaged, the engine speed is reduced compared to 4th gear (at the same vehicle speed). For maximum fuel economy, use 5th gear if the vehicle's driving mode allows it.
