Attention! This system plays only an auxiliary role in vehicle braking. In some cases, when driving downhill or at the beginning of a journey when the automatic transmission is not yet warm, the transmission may not automatically downshift. The driver himself must shift into 2nd or 3rd gear in order to take advantage of the engine braking effect. Therefore, maintain a safe driving style and do not rely on the automatic transmission control system.
Note. During vehicle break-in or immediately after connecting the wire to the battery terminal, gear changes may not be as smooth. This does not mean a malfunction in the gearbox. Gear changes will become smooth after several shifts in automatic mode.
Automatic transmission selector control

The gearbox has four forward gears and one reverse gear. Each gear is engaged automatically depending on the position of the automatic transmission selector, vehicle speed and accelerator pedal position. The automatic transmission selector has two slots for shifting the gear selector: main slot 1 and slot for manual shift mode 2. There are four positions in the main slot for shifting the gear selector. The selector is equipped with a locking button A to prevent inadvertent engagement of the wrong gear.
Attention! If you press the lock button every time you change the position of the selector, you can accidentally move it to the following position «R» («Parking») or «R» («Reverse»). When performing operations marked with the symbol «J», do not press the button.

When translating the selector from the positions «R» («Parking») or «N» (neutral) to another position, always depress the brake pedal.
When starting off, do not move the selector from the neutral position «N» or provisions «R» («Parking») to another position while pressing the accelerator pedal. This is very dangerous as the vehicle may «jump» forward or backward.
Note. If you do not keep the brake pedal depressed, the automatic transmission selector lock prevents it from moving from the position «R» («Parking») into something else.
