Note. There is a filter in the system of this air purifier. Dust and dirt that settles on the filter reduces the effectiveness of the cleaner. Therefore, it is recommended to clean the filter every 12 months or every 15,000 km. For more information, please contact an authorized MITSUBISHI dealer.
Instructions for using the air conditioner
Leave the car for a long parking in the shade. If you leave the car in the sun, it will get very hot and it will take longer for the interior to cool down. If you still had to leave the car in the sun, then open the windows for the first few minutes of the air conditioner, which will speed up the removal of hot air from the passenger compartment.
The windows must be closed when the air conditioner is operating. The intake of outside air through open windows reduces the efficiency of the air conditioner.
Too much air cooling is harmful to health. The air temperature in the cabin should be only 5-6°C lower than the outside air temperature.
When the system is in operation, make sure that the air intake openings in front of the windshield are free from foreign objects such as leaves. Leaves clogged in the duct prevent the normal passage of air and close the holes for draining water.
Recommendations for the care of the air conditioning system (coolant and oil)
If the efficiency of the air conditioner has decreased compared to the standard, then the reason for this may be a refrigerant leak. Have the air conditioner checked by your authorized MITSUBISHI dealer. The air conditioner installed in the vehicle must be charged with HFC-134a refrigerant and SUN-PAG56 air conditioner oil. The use of a different refrigerant or different oil will result in serious damage, necessitating the replacement of the entire A/C system. The refrigerant must not be released into the atmosphere. The new refrigerant HFC-134a used in the car does not harm the ozone layer of the atmosphere.
It is recommended to recover the refrigerant for further reuse.
When you do not use the air conditioner for a long time
The air conditioner must be turned on for at least 5 minutes every week, even in cold weather. This ensures that the internal parts of the compressor are lubricated and that the A/C system is kept in good working order. If these requirements are not met, the system may emit an unusual odor. This is not a sign of a system malfunction.
