The rear window defroster can be turned on when the ignition key is in the «ON» («On»). Press the heater switch and it will turn on. The heater will turn off automatically after 20 minutes.
To turn it off earlier, press the switch again. Indicator lamp A will remain on while the heater is on. If your vehicle is equipped with heated door mirrors, pressing the rear window defroster switch will also demist the door mirrors.
Attention! The power of the rear window defroster is only enough to remove frost (fogging), but not enough to melt the snow adhering to the glass. Before turning on the heater, remove the snow from the rear window.
To avoid discharging the battery, do not operate the rear window defroster while starting the engine or when the engine is off. Turn off the heater as soon as you clean the glass.
