Headlights
Turn the switch to turn on the exterior lights/headlights.
All headlights/outside lights off.
Parking lights, rear license plate lights and instrument panel lights are on.
Headlights and other outdoor lighting are on.
Note. To avoid discharging the battery, do not leave headlamps or other lights on for too long when the engine is not running.
Sometimes when it rains or after the car has been washed, the inside of the headlights may fog up. This phenomenon is similar to fogging of windows in humid weather and is not a malfunction. After turning on the headlights, the heat will dry the surface of the headlight.
For daylight models
When the ignition key is in position «ON» («On»), and the combined switch for lighting, headlights and direction indicators is in position («OFF»), the dipped headlights, tail lights, etc. will be on.
Headlight/Ambient Lighting Control System
If any of the exterior lights remain on while the ignition key is in the «LOCK» or «ACC», and the headlight switch is in the position, the lamps will automatically turn off after about 3 minutes if the driver's side door is not opened during this period of time.
If the ignition key is in the positions «LOCK» or «ACC», or is removed from the ignition switch, and the headlight switch remains in the position, then when the driver's door is opened, a warning signal is heard. It reminds the driver that the lights are not switched off. This system operates for approximately 3 minutes. The lighting then turns off automatically.
Note. The auto light off control system does not function when the combination switch for lighting, headlights and turn indicators is in the position.
If within «the first 3 minutes after turning the ignition key to position «LOCK» or «ACC» move the headlight switch from the position to the position, then the system for automatically turning off the exterior lighting will not function.
Leaving outdoor lights on
Turn the ignition key to position «LOCK» or «ACC» or take it out of the ignition and turn the headlight switch to («OFF»), to turn off all lights.
Then turn the headlight switch back to or . The outdoor lights will come on and stay on.
Buzzer (sound signal) headlights off
If the driver's side door is opened when the ignition key is in the «LOCK» or «ACC» (optional equipment), or when the key is removed from the ignition and the headlight switch is in the or position, the buzzer is activated (a beep is heard), reminding the driver to turn off the headlights and outdoor lighting. In vehicles with automatic headlight off, the buzzer will turn off automatically. In the absence of such a system, the sound of the buzzer stops when the headlight switch is pressed.
Switching headlights (low/high beam)
When the headlight switch is in the position, each time the lever is moved to position 1, the light switches from high to low (or from near to far). When the high beam is on, the high beam indicator lamp should also come on.
Giving a light signal
When the switch lever is slightly moved to position 2, the headlights will light up, and when the lever is released, they will go out.
If the high beam is on, the high beam indicator lamp will also be on.
Note. The flasher mode can also be activated when the headlights/outside lights are off.
If you turn off the headlights with the high beam on, then the next time you move the lever to the position, the low beam will automatically turn on.
