Unscrewing the rear suspension spring nut (self-locking nut)
Attention! After fixing the suspension spring, install the special tool evenly (MV991239), so that its maximum length corresponds to the length of the spring.
Using an impact wrench to tighten the spring compressor bolt (MV991237) not allowed. The special tool will break.
Use the following special tool to compress the suspension spring.
- MB991237: spring compressor.
- МВ991239: set of levers.
Warning! Using an impact wrench to loosen the rear suspension spring nut (self-locking nut) not allowed. Vibration from the impact wrench causes the special tool to slip (MB991237 and MB991239), which leads to injury.
While holding the piston rod from turning, unscrew the rear suspension spring nut (self-locking nut).
Disposal of the rear shock absorber
Attention! Wear safety goggles to protect your eyes from flying metal chips.
Before scrapping, gas must be removed from the telescopic rack. Lay the telescopic pole horizontally and extend the pole. Drill a hole with a diameter of about 3 mm at the location shown in the figure and release the gas from the rack.
Installing the lower support cup of the rear suspension spring
Align the stepped portion of the bottom spring with the stepped portion of the lower shock spring seat and install the lower spring seat.
Installing the rear suspension spring
Attention! Using an impact wrench to tighten the spring compressor bolt (MV991237) not allowed. The special tool will break.
Using the special tool, compress the spring and install it on the bottom spring pad of the rear suspension.
- MB991237: spring compressor.
- МВ991239: set of levers.
The lower part of the rear suspension spring must be positioned as shown in the illustration.
Installing the upper support cup of the rear suspension spring
Align the stepped portion of the top cushion with the top of the shock spring and install the top spring cushion.
Installing the upper support of the rear shock absorber
Install the rear shock upper mount so that the axle of the inner tube of the lower shock bushing is in line between the mount mounting bolts when looking at the assembly straight from above.
Screwing on the rear suspension spring nut (self-locking nut)
Incompletely tighten the rear suspension spring nut (self-locking nut).
Attention! Using an impact wrench to tighten a nut (self-locking nut) rear suspension spring is not allowed, otherwise the self-locking nut will be damaged.
Remove special tool (MV991237, MV991239), and finally tighten the rear suspension spring nut (self-locking nut) torque 25±5Nm.
