Note:
- If there is not enough time to warm up the working fluid to operating temperature, then it is allowed to check at the temperature range indicated on the graph.
- Reading the operating fluid temperature (ATF) it is recommended to perform with the MUT-II tester.
2. Park the vehicle on a level, level ground.
3. Press the brake pedal and move the selector lever sequentially through all positions, holding it in each of them for a few seconds to fill with working fluid (ATF) of the entire hydraulic control system and torque converter, and then set the selector to the position "N".
4. Leave the engine to idle (selector lever in position "N").
5. Before removing the dipstick, clean the area near the dipstick with a clean, lint-free cloth. Remove the dipstick and check the condition of the working fluid in the gearbox (ATF).
Attention: it is necessary to overhaul the gearbox and clean the fluid cooler tubes under the following conditions:
- - If the working fluid (ATF) in the variator or automatic transmission has a burnt smell.
- - If the working fluid (ATF) in a CVT or automatic transmission it is noticeably black.
- - If the working fluid (ATF) in the variator or automatic transmission is contaminated with a large amount of metal particles.
6. The normal level of the working fluid should be at the mark "NOT" working fluid level probe. If the fluid level is below this mark, add fluid to the level "NOT" on the probe.
Recommended fluid is DiaQueen ATF SP-III or equivalent
Attention: if the fluid level is above the range "NOT", then change the working fluid (ATF).
7. Be sure to carefully examine the condition of the working fluid (ATF) on the dipstick of the working fluid level. Insert the dipstick into place and check that the dipstick cap is firmly seated.
8. The working fluid in the variator or automatic transmission must be replaced with a new one if the variator / automatic transmission has been overhauled or the working fluid is heavily contaminated and does not meet technical requirements (heavy duty operation).
