Attention:
- Be sure to adjust the seat before riding. Adjust the height of the head restraint so that its center is at eye level.
- After adjustment, make sure the seat is securely locked.
- Do not place a cushion or the like between your back and the seatback while driving. This will reduce the effectiveness of the head restraints in an accident.
To reduce the risk of injury in the event of a collision or sudden braking, the driver's and passenger's seatbacks must be in an upright position while the vehicle is in motion. When the seatback is tilted backwards, the protective effect of the seat belts is greatly reduced. There is a danger that a person in a collision and a sudden stop of the car will slip out from under the belts, which can lead to serious injury.
