General description

ATTENTION: when working in the interior of a car equipped with an airbag system and belt pretensioners (SRS system), be especially careful not to damage the SRS control unit. To prevent accidental deployment of airbags or pretensioners, before starting work, set the wheels to the straight ahead position and the ignition switch to the position "LOCK", disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal and wait at least 90 seconds (backup discharge time). Do not attempt to disassemble the airbag assembly or belt pretensioner assembly as there are no parts that require maintenance in these nodes. If the airbags and/or seat belt pretensioners have deployed (unfolded), they cannot be repaired and reused.
