General information
Additional passive safety system (SRS) Designed for use with pretensioner seat belts to improve crash safety and reduce the risk of injury from airbag deployment by keeping front passengers in their seats in the event of a frontal impact.
The SRS system consists of two airbags, each of the airbags contains a module with a folded airbag and an inflator (gas generator); electronic control unit SRS (installed under the center console assembly), which controls the entire system and contains built-in safety shock sensors and an analog acceleration sensor (basic); SRS indicator (located on the instrument panel), which shows the current state of the SRS system; spiral wire located in the steering column and electrical wiring.
The SRS system is designed so that the front airbag will deploy during sudden deceleration, comparable in magnitude to the deceleration in a frontal impact when the ignition key is in the "ON" (ON).
The seat belt pretensioner is integrated into the inertial locking mechanism.
Special care must be taken when servicing the SRS system to avoid injury or death to service personnel (due to unauthorized deployment of the airbag), either driver or passenger in the front seat (as a result of the inoperability of the SRS system after unskilled service or repair).
